Mission Statement

Our mission at Back to the Word Church is a very straightforward two-step approach; we want to get people back in touch with God’s Word (the Bible) and away from all the man-made doctrines, traditions and religions that have led us away from God and we want to fulfill Jesus’ command of making disciples of all nations.

Jesus said in Matthew 24 and verse 35:

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Jesus said heaven and earth will one day pass away and so will every man-made doctrine, tradition and religion but His Words (the Bible) will NEVER pass away. That’s why we believe it’s so important to know and to get back to His Words. That’s why our ministry and this website are dedicated to getting people Back to the Word.

We are doing this through our Bible based teachings and actual Bible Studies where we study the Bible and not some other book, workbook, or video series that supposedly tell us what the Bible says. If you want to know what the Bible truly says then you need to read and study the actual Bible.

Jesus also said in Matthew 28 and in verses 18 through 20:

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus said that we as His people are to make disciples (learners and followers of Jesus) of all nations and through this website we are striving to do just that. That is why we offer the resources that we do, the weekly messages and the verse by verse Bible studies all in Microsoft Word format so that they can actually be used and shared by anyone with internet access so that through this website we can reach all nations.

When you support us, either in person or through this web ministry, you are joining us in this two-fold mission.
