The Seven Feasts of the Lord

The Seven Feasts of God found in Leviticus 23 are the Greatest Love Story of all, God’s Love Story for His People. God’s entire plan of salvation is woven within the mysteries of these 7 Feasts of the LORD, which God spoke to Moses in Sinai as we read in Leviticus 23. Unfortunately the truths of these mysteries have been only partially taught for years.

God gave the 7 Feasts of the LORD to Israel to proclaim to others and to keep each year, as rehearsals, until the fullness of time would come. God would then send forth His Son Yeshua to earth, born of a woman, to fulfill each one of these 7 Feasts, in preparation for God’s Shabbat, His Millennial Reign on earth for 1000 years with His beloved Bride.

Leviticus 23:1-3 states - “And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘The Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My Feasts! ‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it’s the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.”

The truth we need to accept is that these are God’s Feasts they are not now and never have been the Feasts of the Jews, Feasts of the Christians or Feasts of the Church; these Feasts always belonged to God and He gave them to us.

They tell the story of the main Covenant of events between God and His people as they occur here on the earth and in time. The story begins back with the people God called in Old Testament times. And it extends right through to the apocalyptic events John saw in vision and wrote about in the Book of Revelation. These Feasts of the Lord are key points on a road map of holy history.

We believe God gave them to us because God’s Feasts are rehearsals for the prophetic events that have either already been literally fulfilled at Jesus’ First Coming or will soon be literally fulfilled at Jesus' Second Coming when He returns as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

For instance; Jesus fulfilled the Feast of Passover (Lev. 23:5) with His death on the cross and His blood that He shed on Passover, as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Jesus was placed in the tomb just before the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Lev. 23:6-8) was to begin as the sinless bread of life offered for the sins of the world.

Jesus rose again from the dead on the Sabbath afternoon just before the Feast of Firstfruits (Lev. 23:10-14) was about to begin. That is why the Apostle Paul described Jesus as the Firstfruits of all that would rise.  (1 Corinthians 15:20, 23). Fifty days later, the Church was born with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost (Lev. 23:16-22).

All four of these Spring Feasts of the Lord have already been literally fulfilled by Jesus, or should I say Yeshua (His Hebrew name) at His First Coming as the Lamb of God. But there still remains the three Fall Feasts of the Lord to be fulfilled and we believe these Feasts will also soon be fulfilled.

The next feast to be fulfilled which will likely happen very soon is the Feast of Trumpets. We believe this will be fulfilled when Jesus comes back for His church and when we will meet Him in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17 - The Rapture.) This prophetic event will occur on some future new moon in the month of Tishri (September/October) and will almost certainly usher us into the 70th Week of Daniel and the final seven years of this present age.

Following the seven year Tribulation period the next Feast will be fulfilled which is the Day of Atonement (Lev. 23:27-32). This is the time of Jesus’ Second Coming to the earth when every knee shall bow (or atone) and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord (Romans 14:11)

The final Feast of the Lord is the Feast of Tabernacles (Lev 23:39-43) and this will be the time that Jesus establishes His 1000 year millennial reign on the earth and when Jesus literally lives (or tabernacles) with His people.

The Seven Feasts will take us beyond the Apocalypse. The seventh feast, the joyous Feast of Tabernacles, will come into its ultimate fulfillment as the true new age dawns. This will bring in the Millennial Kingdom of Yeshua, that glorious age to come. The deserts will bloom and streams of waters will break forth upon the dry ground. God will camp out with mankind for 1,000 years as Emmanuel, "God with us". And as a shepherd feeds and tends his sheep He will draw His people to Himself.
